(fun fact: one time @ a sheryl crow concert in far rockaway, ny, my then gf and i were meandering around outside and as we started down a sidewalk back towards the venue out of nowhere walking towards us comes fucking sheryl crow!! walking her dog…!!? needless to say and in true Cate Fashion i stood there like an idiot (because what business does she have being a person doing personal things esp when i did not get an announcement or newsletter notifying me this would take place) so she smiled @ me and then wandered onto the grass with her dog, narrowly escaping an encounter with a crazed fan. my then gf — who isn’t easily starstruck and is seemingly acquaintances with the entire population of New York and probably LA since that’s where she lives now — didn’t even say anything to her probably because she was too embarrassed by her fangirl gf/my lack of social skills)
